Not sure what you could use a blog for? Then here are some ideas that might inspire you to get writing.

1. Post materials and resources
Be it the hand outs from your lesson or extra exercises for your students you could use your psylent blog to host your notes and resources for all your classes.

2. Host on-line discussions
It’s all well-and-good getting the discussions going in class, but why do they have to stay there? Bring your discussions onto the web and get your students commenting and discussing your class or topic of the day online.

3. Create a class publications
You could always create your own ‘psychology times’ with you and your students writing articles about what’s going on in psychology. Not only would your students be researching over the web, but they could see their work online and have other peers comment upon what their writing.

4. Replace your newsletter
If you’ve already got a department newsletter why not publish it online and let all your students collaborate and comment on what’s going on?

5. Get your students blogging
It doesn’t just have to be for your or your class. Get eacb of your students to set up their own blog and write about how their course is going or their views on psychology. You can have as many blogs as you want so why not get all your students writing their own blogs?

6. Share your lesson plans
You could always use your psylent blog to show off your lesson plans or resources. Every account comes with 10MB of space to upload resources, images or videos to. If you need more you could always look at getting a premium account.

7. Integrate multimedia of all descriptions
All our blog accounts have the ability to embed multimedia from places like YouTube or Veoh so that you can share videos and other resources online. Maybe you’ve got a video that you would like your students to watch to discuss next lesson - use your psylent blog to showcase these.

8. Organise, organise, organise
Keep yourself and your students organised… use your psylent blog to keep them up-to-date with assignmnts, home work or what their ment to be reading for their next lesson. They’ll no longer have any excuse to forget their homework again. We promise the dog will never eat your psylent blog!

9. Get feedback
Let others comment on your posts. Be it as simple as saying that someone’s having trouble with their homework to what they think of a particular resources. This is your chance to receive and respond to feedback.

10. Create a fully functional website
Your psylent blog doesn’t have to be a simple blog. You can create pages and other resources online and have your own fully functional website where students can add to, contribute or discuss ideas, work or just talk about their favourite study.
